Living temples of God and Dwelling of the Most High

God’s promises are always fulfilled, He is faithful and can never fail. So, if anybody wants to know of companionship, affection, closeness and fullness, let them embrace God within their souls, for it’s there where He has pleasantly fixed His abode.

There is a kind loneliness that consists in a pernicious individualism which God doesn’t want us to live; which is why “he who loves me will keep my word, and my Father will love him, and We will come to him and make our home with him”, that is, we will make one fellowship together with him: It’s not a dream! This is the real meaning of living with God and of God without measure, simply a foretaste of Eternity.

God’s “breathing” in the innermost depths of the spirit

Those who have not savoured God, feel Him to be distant because they never came to know of His company; and as they feel Him to be, so they communicate Him, misleading others. (22-6-68)

Those who have savoured God, know that He is nearer than their very selves, because they perceived Him in the innermost recesses of the spirit; and even though at times they might not feel Him, they know, in a knowledge that is life, that God dwells within ourselves. This is knowing God or of God; everything else are cold ideas that make Him distant and strange. (22-6-68)

How sacred it is to know, in silent savouring, that the Eternal He-Who-Is dwells in us and we in Him, through our participation in all that He is, in our tiny soul! (31-3-75)

To me God is the living God; so much so, that I perceive His “breathing” within my soul. (3-10-74)

I feel God as if He were “breathing” within me, and so much do I perceive this, that had I never heard about God, I would have believed in Him and would have known He is inside me, because I feel His “breathing” in my spiritual innermost being, through the loving action of His breathless beat of life. (3-10-74)

What sweet mystery, always having Love so nearby, feeling the “breathing” of His breast and the sheltering caress of His deep gaze full of expressive mysteries, which are a gift requesting a response! Because God requests, from the one to whom He gives Himself, a response to His gift. (25-4-75)

With Your right hand You show Yourself to me and with Your left hand You sustain me; show Yourself to me, Lord, for I am faint with love! I want to hear Your voice and to see Your face, I want to listen to the throbbing of Your breast… I want to perceive the “breathing” of Your being Yourself Life in the deepness of Your coeternal communication… (17-7-75)

God “breathes” in the innermost depths of the spirit, being the living God who is alive the one leisurely resting within us. (4-10-74)

How sweet it is to feel the “breathing” of the Eternal in the depths of the soul or in my silent tabernacle! Feeling His “breath” is a mystery of encounter, it is to know, through veils, of the living God. (3-10-74)

My Model

     An incomparable model…!
I saw it;
and in sparkles of purity
I contemplated it,
with a bearing so simple,
as to enrapture
my subdued look
in her modesty.

     It was She, the Lady,
in simplicity,
who, as a delicate Child,
showed me
the model that, in her bearing,
I discovered.

She was Virgin and She was a Child in love,
who showed, in her purity
overflowing with splendour,
the blush of a maiden
by the affectionate breeze
of Love.

It was She, it was Mary
without doubting,
who said to me, in the model of her bearing,

Since then I had been wanting
to imitate,
throughout my life,
her innocence,
that captured,
when I was a child,
my attention,
when I knew that She was the model
that I ought to imitate.

She was a Child, She was a Virgin,
simpler than a flower.
And that was my model,
I don’t doubt it;

The Lord showed it to me,
in the first years
of my gift.

“The silence of the Eucharist”

As we peacefully and reflexively proceed to read these series of thoughts, then we find ourselves introduced into a divine atmosphere as regards the pressing need we feel to keep silence, to run forth at the foot of the Tabernacle and to get into prayer in order to “see, hear and be imbued” with the presence of Christ.

The divine melody which is perceived in the silence that surrounds us when facing the Eucharist envelops and nourishes the soul with the streams of living Waters, there where “deep calls to deep in the roar of His torrents.”

Before the mystery of the Eucharist, enthralled by the silence of its secret, overcome by love, adoring, I respond as I can to the infinite self-gift of Your love. (17-10-72)

The silence of the cross is a canticle of eternal love to men. Christ gave His life by dying and He gives Himself up as food in the shivering silence of the Eucharist. Mysteries that only the man of faith knows how to penetrate by the relishing taste of the Holy Spirit! (6-1-75)

How much silence that of the Eucharist, and what a concert of infinite love it contains! (1-2-64)

The silent loneliness of the tabernacle is the most expressive explanation of Infinite Love unknown and not received. (29-1-73)

The infinite concert of the Eternal Silent is heard behind the doors of the tabernacle, when one only seeks to give rest to Love offended by the lack of love. (3-2-76)

When I remain silent, I begin to lose all earthly things, and I feel myself introduced into “there” in sacred gentleness; and little by little, I start to notice a silent concert, breaking into voices from the Eternal, in infinite love of loving communication. (3-2-76)

The loving soul knows how to listen, without earthly noises, the expressive and infinite Word, in the silence of the white Host. (12-11-74)

I need the sacred mystery of the silence of the tabernacle, more than the thirsty deer needs the waters of the crystal stream, since only there my tormenting thirst will be quenched. (9-3-77)

Let us go to the silence of our tabernacles, to the one of our hearts, to the silence of Mary’s womb and to the silence of God’s breast… And “there” we will know the innermost secret of Christ’s mystery, that encloses God and man, all that is divine and created, for Christ is the infinite and created fullness.

What a mystery that of the silence of the Tabernacle! And what a deep silence contains the mystery of the Eucharist…!

«To love You for Your sake»

“This writing, oh my One Trinity, I dedicate to You, as a hymn of supreme praise and maximum glorification that on earth I can give You, since I seek to make You known and loved, for your sake, without me”.

These concluding words of Mother’s writing “To love You for Your sake”  give us the hint for us to live accordingly the great feast of the most Holy Trinity in its full meaning. This is the Heavenly feast of perfect joy. What can never be seen or lived on this earth, is now anticipated in this feast that throws open for us the boundaries of Eternity without limits.

Love…! I need You without me…! You, in You and for You…! Because I am created only to rejoice eternally in the fact that You are happy, that You are blissful, in the fact that You are…! Yes, Love, in the fact that You are yourself ! […]

You are so blissful… so much… so much… so much! that You will make our most essential joy consist in rejoicing in the fact that You are so happy; […]

[…] You are so perfect and so glorious, that, when contemplating You, our capacity will be so stolen, exceeded and surpassed, that it will not be able to desire anything, most essentially, apart from glorying in the fact that You are yourself so happy and so pleased for being yourself who You are yourself; having all souls their first and most essential joy in rejoicing, oblivious of themselves, at seeing You so blessed.

Your eternal happiness of infinite perfection will captivate them so transcendentally, that what is not to contemplate You for yourself, rejoicing in the fact that You are God, will be second accidental joys that they will possess as a consequence of this. The joy of joys, that will make the soul be in Eternity in the centre of its love and in an act of most pure love, will be to rejoice in the fact that God is God, that God is what He is by himself and in himself. […]

That is why, Love, I wait for You…! I clamour for loving You eternally in my centre of love… at that point of love’s purity that You instil into my soul…! I do need my love to be as pure as possible, according to my capacity, and to love You where I may love You the most, where my purity of love may be more perfect…! […]

I need to rejoice in the fact that You are yourself, and only in that, without occupying myself with anything else; and in that is the centre and the perfection of my love. And I know that this demand for pure love that You have placed in my soul, I will only be able to fill it in the place of the pure and perfect love: Eternity.

Love, I do not clamour for Eternity in order to be happy, since although my whole soul is created to be so, there is something that surpasses almost infinitely this urgency, and it is to rejoice solely in the fact that You are happy, that You are yourself, that You rejoice in yourself, that You love yourself, that You are the glorious Life in Trinity of Persons.

How really marvellous that You are yourself so blissful…! that You are yourself so happy! that You are yourself by yourself, without me…! What a joy, that, when I offended You, my Un-created, I did not grieve You, I did not take your joy away, I did not take away your essential glory…!

Love…! What a very joyful jubilation that You are yourself so Being, that what is not You, means nothing to You…! that You are yourself so immutable in your infinite joy, that nothing troubles You, that nothing touches You… that with all my imperfection, before You, I am as if I were not…

Love…! What a joy that of my soul the fact that You are like that…! What a joy that of being able to enjoy eternally the bliss of seeing You so happy…! How really marvellous that your glory is essentially the same with the love of your creature as without it! What a joy so complete that, because of your incapability of suffering, in order to do so, You had to become incarnate! and even so, You suffered in your humanity, but your divinity was impassive. […]

That is how God is…! He is of such glorious perfection, that exceeding our capacity for all that we may crave, He will make us have our greatest possible glorification in rejoicing in what He is.

Tell me, what do you love and why do you love it…? What do you occupy yourself in when your love is not God…? In loving because they love you in return, which after all is to seek yourself; in loving for you to rejoice, which is selfish love; in rejoicing in the good of the beloved because you find joy… But do you know what God is, and of what perfection He must be, and what glory He must have in himself, that the happiness of seeing Him so joyful and so happy will be your eternal bliss…?

What must God be, soul created by the Infinite, that He is capable of satiating infinitely every demand for love and happiness that you feel…! […]

Love, I need, by the demand of having been created to enjoy You, to be happy… I have imprinted on my soul the need to possess You and to enjoy You, the need to know You and to express You, the need to love You and to be loved with my participation in You… I clamour in urgencies to live only for You, to steal and to capture You for me, to rejoice in the fact that You are You for me to enjoy it. […]

Yet, although the need to rejoice for Your being yourself He who You are yourself makes me live dying, I know that to increase this degree of love, only here on earth can I achieve it. Since each second, living in this state of love in which the Love keeps me, I reach an increase of love for me and for all the members of the Church until the end of time; and living like this, I can achieve the pure love of each soul to be increased, through which and for all Eternity, they will rejoice solely in the fact that God is God.

And faced with this program which appears before my sight of my glorification of God and of my spiritual motherhood, what is more perfect for me, to desire Heaven or earth…? “To do your will is my delight; my God, your law is in my heart!” (Sal 39,9) […]

This writing, oh my One Trinity, I dedicate to You, as a hymn of supreme praise and maximum glorification that on earth I can give You, since I seek to make You known and loved, for your sake, without me.
