Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity

Pope St. John Paul II, in the first audience he had with Mother Trinidad, asked her why she had taken that name. “Holy Father” she said –“that is my baptism name, since following a family tradition, I was named after my grandmother”. The Holy Father responded with one of his typical gestures moving his index finger: “Yes. However there was also a divine design in it, because you had to talk about the Trinity in the Church.”

An statement full of far-sightedness and correctness, since that is exactly what Mother Trinidad had been doing for so many years before, something which she would continue to do later still, because – as she herself says – “my mission is to sing, to sing until I die, the beauty, the richness and the greatness of God, Christ, Mary and of my Mother Church.”

This short video clip, “Celebrating eternally the day of the Trinity”, recorded on June 14th 1987, presents a beautiful sample of this vibrant song of God, which is light for our souls.

Not even the sharpest poetic genius would be able to discover – as Mother Trinidad does in these thoughts – within the mystery of Pentecost, whose Solemnity we are about to live, the romance of love between the Holy Spirit and His Bride, the Church.

Only with the same Gaze of the Father can we penetrate this Mystery. Only with the very Song of the divine Word can we sing with such beauty and depth this Mystery. And it is only “the loving impetus of the overwhelming power” of the Holy Spirit that can seize the soul of whoever reads these texts and bring it to such a deep degree of knowledge and enjoyment of these realities.

And this dazzling light full of spiritual nourishment is for you! God gives it to you because you are a son or a daughter of the Church. Enjoy it!

Day of Pentecost…! On it, the three divine Persons, swooping in the loving impetus of Their overpowering current upon the nascent Church, kiss Her, ennoble Her, beautify Her and so divinely fecundate Her that, She who formerly was fearful and with no divine science, today, due to the invasion from above, is full of wisdom and strong as “an army in battle,” at the contact with the infinite and virginal kiss of the Holy Spirit. (21-5-61)

Ever since all Eternity, the Holy Spirit is burning in infinite longings to swoop upon His virgin Church, to fecundate Her with the fire of His love. (21-5-61)

On the day of Pentecost the Church has been like a bride virgin, who, at the loving contact with the kiss of the Holy Spirit, Her virginal bosom was fecundated in such fullness, that by this divine invasion She was made Virgin-Mother of all souls. (21-5-61)

Pentecost… day of silence, of prayer, of wait and, as a fruit of the effusion, of embrace between the Lover and the beloved. Love, how beautiful have You made Your bride the Church by the loving thrust of Your divine kiss! (21-5-61)

The Holy Spirit descends upon the Cenacle to be outpoured on the Apostles as Fire of light and love… and all of them, inebriated with His infinite charity, burst forth into a singing explanation of the divine life that Christ brought us from Mary’s bosom, so that they, through their priesthood, might communicate it to all souls. (21-5-61)

On the day of Pentecost, the Spirit illumined the darkened and confused minds of the Apostles, so overwhelmingly, that they broke into relishing wisdom of communicative expression, in light and love of divine science. (14-10-74)

The living of the first Christians was to follow the impulse of the Holy Spirit, under the shelter and direction of the Apostles; who already knew very well what they were to do and say; they relishingly knew the Spirit of God because they lived in the familiar and intimate contact of His closeness. (21-5-76)

How clearly I experience that the soul who lives on God, in receptiveness of loving response, is able to say with the Apostles: “It is the decision of the holy Spirit and of us…!” (25-4-78)

How relishingly I understand with the penetration of my lowly understanding, in deep wisdom, that the Holy Spirit be the soul of the Church, through the experience that, in the core of my being, I live, on being impelled, moved, taught, set aflame and fortified by the Infinite Spirit Himself! (25-4-78)

The gifts of the Holy Spirit are ways by which God communicates Himself to the soul, infusing into it the light of His mysteries in wisdom that breaks into fortitude, and pervading it with the pacific joy of the gift received. (27-10-75)

The word that goes forth from the mouth of God does not return to Him void, because the Spirit makes it be fruitful and bear fruits of eternal life. (25-4-78)

When the Father’s Word is pronounced within my soul in His infinite will for me to break into song, it is the Holy Spirit who stirs forth in my breast opening me in order to receive the self-gift of the Eternal and making me break, in the love of His fires, into a song of living Church to men. (25-4-78)

In the history of humanity three predilections has God: His chosen People, His holy Church and the bride soul; and the Holy Spirit crowns the three of them with the divine effusion of His light and fire. (26-6-61)

Mary is the bridge

The knowledge of the Virgin and the love for Our Lady offered to us by Mother Trinidad in the present talk makes the listener feel dragged and brought to a warm and living experience regarding the creation of Mary, the mystery of the Incarnation, Christ’s Priesthood and even the very maternal priesthood of Our Lady.

The fruit that such gifts enshrine for our daily life are beyond our imagining. The spiritual journey of our souls must be essentially Marian in order to be truly Christian.

Mary is a wonder of grace

The month of May… the month of Mary. Many demonstrations of affection for our heavenly Mother can be seen these days in almost any point of our geography: flower offerings, processions, novenas, hymns and prayers. In all of this, we remember the valiant “yes” with which the Virgin always responded to God and the motherly love that She makes extensive to all of us Her children.

How beautiful it would be if, to these precious samples of popular piety, we added the deep and warm knowledge of Our Lady. Knowledge that would lead us as though taken by the hand to an even more joyful veneration of Our Mother Mary, the masterpiece of grace and a “wonder of grace” made by the Creator.

Therefore, the writing we are now offering to you will give you the opportunity to rediscover with joy and to savour the wonders of Mary, which are – no more and no less – the great wonders God accomplished in Her for our salvation.

“Mary is a wonder of grace”

[…] God’s doing is as perfect as He himself; for that reason the manifestation of his splendourness causes the soul, which savours it to transcend up to the very breast of the Almighty, where it drinks plentifully in the sapient torrents of his inexhaustible wisdom; wisdom that, in the splendorous gift of his power, tells itself to men, through Our Lady, with a Mother’s heart and a Holy Spirit’s love.

Mary is a wonder of the power of God. The Virgin is intrinsically “Our Lady of the Incarnation,” because God created Her for the Incarnation, making Her a prodigy of the grace in radiant manifestation of the Omnipotent.

When the infinite Being in an outpouring of mercy determined to give himself to man, at that same instant without time of the eternity, He conceived Mary, in his eternal wisdom, for the realization of the mystery of the Incarnation, incorporating Her to his Love’s gift in manifestation of the splendourness of his glory. […]

What a concert, that of eternity, of unheard of songs in one single Voice, come out of the Father’s begetting bosom, with the lovingly consubstantial Holy Spirit’s murmur in a Kiss of Love…! And Mary is, in her whole being, the creation-Mother, who expresses in silent spelling, God’s infinite concert in the loving romance of his eternal being in relation to man. […]

God is himself all the divine attributes in himself, by himself and for himself; but there is one in the perfection of the uncreated Being, that, notwithstanding that God is himself so in himself and by himself, He is not so for himself, and it is the attribute of mercy; since this is the outpouring of the infinite Power in loving manifestation over the misery. […]

[…]And now God is himself Mercy, because the infinite Love gave himself to man in the magnificent splendourness of his overflowing. […]

It would be possible to call Mary, in some way, who is the means through whom the divine Mercy gives itself to us: Manifestation of that same Mercy and donation of the same Mercy with a Mother’s heart and a Holy Spirit’s love. […]

The Holy Spirit is enshrouding Mary with the sacred love words of the most enamoured Spouse, in communications of all his infinite attributes. He is loving Her… bejewelling Her… beautifying Her… so much, so much, so much…! that He is shaping himself in Her, in Kiss of love and recreation of Spouse. So secretly…! So marvellously…! that, at that instant-instant predetermined by God from all eternity, the Holy Spirit himself is going to kiss Our Lady all Virgin so divinely, with a kiss of fruitfulness, that He is going to make Her break into divine Motherhood. So divine…! that the Father’s Word, the consubstantial Only Begotten of the Uncreated, is going to call the creature in full right: My Mother…! with the same fullness that the White Virgin is going to call: My Son…! the Father’s Only Begotten, Incarnated. […]

Oh Father’s wisdom, that enshrouding Our Lady’s soul, you saturated Her with your infinite wisdom, so much…! that, to the extent that She was Mother of your Only Begotten Son, to that same extent you penetrated Her with your light, in the outpouring of your fatherhood to call Her: my Daughter…! And as the Son called Mary: my Mother! from the instant of the Incarnation God worked in Her a wonder of grace so marvellous, so much, so much! so plethoric, that, to that same extent, although in a different manner, She was Daughter of the Father and Bride of the Holy Spirit. […]

Mary’s divine Motherhood is as great as great are her nuptials with the Holy Spirit, Spouse of her fruitful virginity, and as great is her filiation with regard to the Father, in the enjoyable penetration of his infinite wisdom.

And as the Holy Spirit, when He kissed Her in the murmur of his love, in the caress of his breeze, in the embrace of his power and in the fruitfulness of his Kiss, made Her love of his infinite love, in participation in his charity in donation of Spouse, so the Word, when He called Her: Mother! made Her so much Word, so much! that the Virgin, as an expression of the reality that She was and lived by the power of the grace that had been poured over Her, could call God: my Son! The eternal Father giving himself to Her in such fullness of wisdom and with such an experience of the divine mysteries, that, plunged into the depth of God, She intuited overwhelmingly what the Being is himself in himself. […]

Oh infinite Word! Let me, in your Word and with You, say to Mary, My Mother! and call God: eternal Father, my Father! Let me that, with Mary I may call my infinite Spouse: my Holy Spirit! And thus, from Mary’s bosom and through Her, astonished under the smallness of my misery –since it has been granted to me to contemplate, in adoring penetration, the mystery of the Incarnation–, I may respond with Her to the infinite Holiness pouring itself out on my Immaculate Mother in Trinity of Persons under the personal action of each one of them. […]

Silence…! For the Holy Spirit, impelled by the Father’s will, in the predetermined moment in his eternal plan to bring about the Incarnation, is opening the bosom of the Father himself, in the impulse of his love, to take the Word and to put Him into Our Lady’s bosom.

Silence…! For the Word is breaking into a Word in such a marvellous way, so much…! that, as the Father’s infinite Word and in manifestation of his loving will on man, by the Holy Spirit’s impulse, He is going to pronounce himself in the infinite outpouring of the eternal mercy of God so transcendently, that He is about to break out calling the creature, very rightly: my Mother…! […]

Mary, because You are the Mother of God the Son, Daughter of God the Father and Bride of the Holy Spirit, to the extent without extent that the wonder of grace was performed in You, today, with full right, I too call You: my Mother! […]

Our Lady all White of the Incarnation, give me the Father with a Mother’s heart, bring me into his wisdom and penetrate me with his light: with that with which You were so wondrously possessed, that made You know, in knowledge of enjoying penetration, the mystery of God in himself and in the outpouring of his mercy towards us! […]
